FAQs

The Questions Often asked about Bubble Soccer and Sports.

Is it dangerous to participate in a Bubble Sports event?

You are essentially wearing a giant air bag, so injuries are rare.  We have rules that we insist all participants abide by which make it even safer.  The most common injury is a sore stomach and being out of breath from laughing so hard! With that said we recommend that you have a reasonable level of fitness to be able to cope with being ‘Bumped’.

Who can participate?

Almost anyone can play! However, there is a height limitation as our adult-sized balls are designed for persons roughly 5′ to 6’6”. Shorter people can use them, but the balls become harder to maneuver if you are below 5’. The balls we use have adjustable shoulder straps so that they can be customized for players of various heights and stature; however, exceptionally large individuals may find the suit very tight.

Can bubble soccer be played anywhere?

We recommend securing an indoor location since the balls should not be used in rainy conditions or on sand as a safety precaution for the participants and equipment. If you want to hold your event outdoor we insist on a dry well-kept turf or grass surface. If the weather turns bad you will need to reschedule your event on another day or if possible move it to an indoor location. We do not offer refunds for cancelled outdoor events as we are reserving that time for you when we could be serving another client at at an indoor event. Note: Some parks and fields require a permit, reservation, and/or a use fee for organized or team activities, and that is your responsibility.

What type of clothing should be worn for a Bubble Soccer event?

You will be playing hard and exerting lots of energy.  Wear comfortable clothing suitable for sweating in.  Knee pads are recommended for indoor play and optional for outdoor play and may make your experience more enjoyable.  A t-shirt with full sleeves is recommended over a tank top/muscle shirt.  The bubble balls have adjustable straps that rest on your shoulders so you will appreciate the additional coverage that a t-shirt gives you.  Athletic footwear suitable for a gymnasium for indoor play and outdoor runners for a grass field setting is recommended.

What is the minimum number of players?

We recommend 10 people. With less people, people tend to get tired much faster.

Is the deposit refundable if we cannot attend?

The deposit is non-refundable.

Is Bubble Soccer a mixed gender sport?

Yes. The bubble suits help to level the playing field between men and women.

You don’t offer Bubble Soccer near me?

At the current time we support venues in the lower mainland; however, there are options for rentals in other areas provided our travel expenses are covered.

Can groups drink alcohol whilst playing?

No! Any individual found drinking alcohol whilst playing will be asked to sit out.

Do you need to be familiar with soccer rules to participate?

Definitely not. The rules of bubble soccer are far simpler. There is one objective and that is to get the ball in the goals. All other rules are simply for the safety of participants. It really is all about having fun.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, we have procured public liability coverage.

We have noticed there is waiver of risk required from participants. Why is that?

We have both a waiver and publicity release to protect and promote our organization. We really do strive to make our events as safe as possible and we are happy to say they are safer than other typical sports such as football or hockey. The waiver is a precaution that all businesses need to have in place to confidently go out and offer their services.
